919-923 Vallejo Street is a well maintained, four (4) unit apartment building near the corner of Mason Street, in the prestigious Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. The unit mix in the building consists of a top floor flat with seven rooms, a middle and bottom floor flat with six rooms each, and a garden apartment that has four rooms. There are two storage rooms in the building. This wood frame building is constructed over a concrete foundation, and has a wood faade. The units include wood flooring, bay windows, formal dining rooms, box beam ceilings, wainscoting and plenty of natural light. The building is separately metered for gas and electric with circuit breakers in the units. Heating is provided by gas wall heaters and forced air heating. Four individual 40 gallon storage tanks provide hot water to each of the units. The modified bitumen roof appears to be in good condition. The building is not on the City of San Francisco’s Soft Story Retrofit list.
